A volunteer picks up "rescued" food from HEB in Bastrop and delivers it to the Bastrop Food Pantry. The volunteer would have to use their own vehicle.
-Valid drivers license required.
-Mid-sized sedans, pick-up trucks, SUV and vans are needed to adequately support this pick-up process.
-Able to carry 20-30 lbs. Requires training on food safety standards for transporting and maintaining correct temperatures along with correct placement of the "rescued" food inside the pantry.
-Good communication and social skills.
- Once complete, please allow time at the end of your shift to clean your work station, including sweeping, discarding trash or spoilage, or simply sanitizing your work station.
